Job description

To drive, grow and develop agriculture (Agri) for Hollard Insure in line with divisional budget objectives and overall Hollard Insure strategic intent. Manage business development team to service and manage existing intermediary relationships including direct clients on key accounts. Drive a Hollard Agri market presence with intermediaries and agri stakeholders. Provide excellent service to internal & external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and influence team available to manage agri business
  2. Negotiate and structure solutions with intermediaries, consultants, and clients
  3. Leverage any underwriting opportunity to blend agri solutions with other Hollard Specialist Lines of business / Hollard Underwriting Capacity
  4. Design Agri solutions with reinsurance structures where applicable
  5. Maintain ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  6. Liaise with and manage regional teams in support of regional GM’s
  7. Portfolio management for area of responsibility
  8. Explore markets for new business opportunities and develop and expand existing business
  9. Explore and manage marketing initiatives within area of responsibility
  10. Provide technical support to area of responsibility
  11. Manage and deliver training requirements to internal and external stakeholders
  12. Conduct feasibility assessment of new business opportunities
  13. Ensure quality assurance and peer review on agri proposals regarding adherence to internal and external governance standards
  14. Sustain and develop profile in the insurance industry
  15. Identify and develop product enhancements in accordance with market development, client requirements and / or broker inputs
  16. Communicate new developments / trends in agri space / markets. Local & International developments
  17. Prepare and execute business development strategy
  18. Develop and implement processes in line with FSCA conduct standards
  19. Ensure risks are minimised and legislation is complied with
  20. Develop, maintain and contribute to processes for reporting including financial reporting
  21. Represent Hollard at appropriate industry and agri events
  22. Provide thought leadership by inter alia presentations / articles etc
