MANAGER: ADMINISTRATION (Grade 14)
RESIDENTIAL OPERATIONS (DIRECTORATE)

The Division of Residential Operations invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.

Residential Operations Division

Residential Operations provides a range of support services that enhance and complement the education experience of all students at Rhodes University.

We are also committed to providing excellent hospitality and administration services to all internal and external customers of Rhodes University through various activities, including:

  • Food Services
  • Housekeeping Services
  • Conference and Events Services
  • Central Cleaning Services
  • Mail Room Services
  • Janitorial Services
Main Objectives

The purpose of the job is to provide an administrative and financial control service for the Residential Operations Division through effective management of resources and processes, ensuring budgets are adhered to, and that the administration framework supports the overall goals and operational effectiveness of the Division.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (NQF level 7) in related areas such as Accounting, Business Management, or Public Administration & Financial Management, with approximately six years of relevant experience, including:

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices
  • Knowledge related to business coordination, supervision, and management
  • Previous experience within a tertiary education context will be an advantage

Remuneration (Grade 14)

Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R598,523

Cost to Company per annum (approximately): R783,921
