Job Description

The Manager I, Training, assists with the analysis, scheduling, and implementation of all classroom training in support of client programs to ensure superior workforce preparation. This position is responsible for cultivating client and departmental relationships, resulting in reduced costs, continual performance improvement, and increased revenue. The role involves the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities

  1. Develop a department of well-trained, competent professionals who continuously improve the organization and themselves.
  2. Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions.
  3. Conduct quarterly one-on-ones with Trainers.
  4. Coordinate with the Quality Supervisor and Operations on consistency issues.
  5. Create and maintain consultant training schedules.
  6. Cultivate close working relationships with Training Managers, department personnel, Operations, and other managers, supervisors, and consultants.
  7. Coordinate the maintenance and development of training workbooks and tools.
  8. Create training programs to support operational KPIs.
  9. Present training business reviews.
  10. Manage training resources, including SPOC and delivery.
  11. Work in a night shift role to accommodate US clients.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Mentor, coach, and direct a team.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency, works well under pressure.
  • Foster professionalism and relationship building.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible schedule and occasional travel.

Career Framework Role

Supervises subordinates, coordinates daily activities, handles escalated issues, and drives team performance to meet metrics and goals. Usually spends less than 20% of time performing supervised tasks, guided by policies and business plans.
