Description

Our client, the largest private fuel retailer in the country based in Port Elizabeth, is seeking an experienced Manager to join their team.

This position is located 30 kilometres outside PE.

Salary: R16,000 CTC per month.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in management is favorable.
  • Experience in retail, merchandising, sales, or a related field with 3 – 5 years in the retail industry.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating with suppliers and vendors.
  • Proven leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate employees.
  • Experience in managing staff, including delegation, attendance, disciplinary actions, and industrial relations.

Responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing all store departments' functions.
  • Managing shrinkage levels to meet company targets.
  • Implementing policies and procedures to minimize stock loss.
  • Developing sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue.
  • Budget allocation and financial planning for the store.
  • Analyzing sales reports and customer feedback.
  • Generating and interpreting management reports with strong analytical skills.
  • Maintaining store standards with attention to detail.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and protocols.
  • Managing and motivating a team to foster a positive work environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and POS systems.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
  • Planning new initiatives to increase store footfall.
  • Controlling inventory and maintaining product standards.
  • Understanding and applying working and labor policies daily.
