Job description

Solugrowth is seeking a qualified CA(SA) for a client in the FMCG sector, based in Stellenbosch. The role involves financial reporting and support for statutory reporting. The successful candidate will develop insightful reports and analysis for senior leadership, support the reporting function, and ensure integrity in reporting systems, building trust with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure accuracy of financial results used for strategic decision-making.
  2. Maintain reconciliations for all reporting models (South Africa, International, and combined Group) for management and statutory reporting, including suggestions for improvements.
  3. Support CIL submissions and SAP controls.
  4. Calculate and prepare group-level monthly journals.
  5. Build trust in the corporate finance function through data and analysis integrity.
  6. Ensure smooth monthly reporting to internal and external stakeholders by planning and communicating deadlines effectively.
  7. Update and maintain the corporate calendar, communicating changes as needed.
  8. Deliver all results timely, accurately, and with high quality.
  9. Perform reconciliations between different reporting platforms and suggest automation improvements.
  10. Work with urgency and support business performance reviews, Board, SA Board, and internal management reporting.
  11. Support Remgro reporting and submissions, including CEO reports.
  12. Handle various stakeholder reporting requirements and assist with ad hoc inquiries and analytics.
  13. Conduct analytical reviews, investigations, and identify areas for improvement.
  14. Engage with others to gather information and participate in projects and investigations.
  15. Assist in dashboard specifications, testing, and automation.
  16. Manage provisions and accruals from management or ad hoc requests.
  17. Proactively troubleshoot and ensure quality in reporting.
  18. Ensure statutory reporting deadlines are met, including IFRS compliance.
  19. Maintain high customer service standards and build relationships with stakeholders.
  20. Continuously improve reporting processes and systems, including automation and enhancements.
