JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced management accountant to join our Credit Finance team; and further enhance our value proposition! The role will support the Finance Business Partner by ensuring efficient cost expense management and divisional reporting.

Your stakeholders will include Business Owners, Operations Managers, the Credit Risk team, and senior leaders of the business; advising them on their expense tracking to targets, as well as providing value-added feedback on their cost bases.

The role offers exposure to operational expense reporting, as well as high-level divisional reporting to The Group finance community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Finance Business Partner in analysing management reports and financial performance of the division against its specific targets;
  • Support the Finance Business Partner in cost management of expenses, as well as analysis thereof;
  • Assist in delivering the quarterly projections of the division;
  • Support with year-end procedures and reports;
  • Review operational area expenses monthly vs forecast, prior year, and relevant metrics;
  • Provide meaningful commentary regarding performance vs plan;
  • Ensure the planning tool (SAP BPC) accurately reflects actuals and projections for all costs;
  • Assist head of functions with SAP BPC HR budget uploads;
  • Prepare the statement mailing quarterly budget;
  • Prepare the quarterly National Credit Regulator returns and submit to the Finance BP for review;
  • Monitor, prepare, and submit interest rate and fee adjustments, when applicable, relating to the debtor's book;
  • Ensure recharges allocated to the division are accurate and accepted;
  • Review and prepare journals on SAP and Vision respectively;
  • Ensure that the inputs to and the management of any assets within the division are provided to the SSC;
  • Perform sundry cost centre management activities;
  • Prepare ad hoc or tailored financial reports required by the division;
  • Perform business unit-specific finance activities, or ad hoc finance activities requiring contact or physical interface with colleagues in the divisions;
  • Support the Finance BP with inputs to pricing decisions and adjustments;
  • Support the Finance and Systems Management CoE and Credit Capabilities teams on new systems or projects requirement gathering, testing, and deployment;
  • Liaise with the Invoice to Cash function within the Finance SSC to ensure all customer allocations are captured and processed accurately;
  • Assist in Coupa related queries;
  • Act as the interface between the business and the CoE/ SSC;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive strong interactions and engagements across the finance operating model;
  • Ensure the engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders within TFG.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • B.Com graduate Diploma, Graduate Degree, or Post Graduate Degree in Financial/ Management Accounting;
  • CIMA or CA equivalent is advantageous;
  • 5+ years post qualification experience in cost management, preferably in a credit retail environment;
  • Experience in delivering budgets;
  • Good understanding of the frameworks and requirements associated with the annual reporting outputs;
  • Very good knowledge of financial accounting and finance processes.
