Addition is a UK-founded fintech platform that automates accounting for startups and SMBs. We combine automation with human expertise to deliver clarity, compliance, and strategic insight. As we scale globally, we’re building out our South African team to deliver expert support to our growing portfolio of clients—primarily in consumer goods and hospitality.

About the Role

This isn’t a back-office accounting role. As a Management Accountant at Addition, you’ll own relationships with around 15 UK and US-based clients—delivering monthly management accounts, surfacing insights, and helping founders and operators understand their numbers. You’ll present financials to non-finance leaders, flag risks early, and support smarter decision-making.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations for your client portfolio
• Present results and insights to non-finance founders and operators
• Manage 15+ client relationships with a high standard of service and commercial awareness
• Collaborate with onboarding, operations, and tech teams to ensure data quality and reporting accuracy
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Help improve internal systems and processes through feedback and initiative

What You Bring

• 3+ years of accounting experience (in practice or industry)
• Strong experience with Xero; QuickBooks a bonus
• Confident communicator with a knack for simplifying financials for non-finance audiences
• Curious about startups and how different business models operate
• Detail-focused and comfortable in a tech-enabled, remote-first environment
• Part-qualified or fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA, or SAICA)
