Job description

To manage the financial function on site through the implementation of financial controls, recording, and reporting to ensure controls are maintained in all finance-related functions/procedures relating to the business on site(s) in the area of responsibility to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

1. Asset and Stock Management: Ensure asset management processes are implemented and maintained to manage stock accurately and prevent theft.
2. Financial Procedures: Manage all procedures related to value chain wages, debtors, and creditors to prevent misappropriation of company funds.
3. Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial information through the compilation of balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Cost and Waste Management: Provide a cost management service to the management team regarding deviation reporting and waste elimination opportunities.
5. Policies and Risk Management: Initiate and maintain company procedures and policies relating to admin and finance, manage risks, and take corrective actions.
6. Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare budgets, monitor them, report variances, and develop financial projections.
7. Data Accuracy and Month-End Processes: Ensure correctness of financial data and perform month-end closing up to trial balance.
8. Reporting and Compliance: Compile all required reports within set deadlines and assist with audits.
9. IT and HR Management: Manage ongoing IT infrastructure functions and human resources.
10. Capital Projects: Evaluate proposed capital projects and complete capex requests.
