Management Accountant

Our client is seeking a Management Accountant for their team in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:

1. Cost Accountant / Financial Manager Experience
2. Experience in Excel & Pastel
3. 4-5 years Experience

3. Calculating cost of goods manufactured (COGM) and cost of goods sold (COGS)
4. Implementing standard costing and analysing variances (material, labour, overhead)
5. Conducting profitability analysis by product, department, or customer
6. Budgeting & Forecasting
7. Preparing financial projections
8. Monitoring actual vs. budgeted performance
9. Assisting in capital expenditure planning for new machinery or expansions
10. Inventory & Supply Chain Management
11. Managing raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods
12. Implementing inventory control methods like FIFO, LIFO, or weighted average
13. Collaborating with procurement to optimize material usage and supplier contracts
14. Generating management reports on profitability, cost trends, and efficiency metrics
15. Ensuring compliance with regulations and tax laws
16. Supporting audits by providing accurate costing and financial data
17. Operational Performance Monitoring
18. Developing KPIs for production efficiency, scrap rates, and machine utilization
19. Analysing the financial impact of downtime, waste, and production bottlenecks
20. Supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
21. ERP & Systems Integration
22. Assisting in ERP system implementation and ensuring accurate cost tracking
23. Developing systems for financial and operational insights
24. Automating reports to improve decision-making efficiency
25. Decision Support & Strategic Planning
26. Performing break-even analysis and pricing strategy evaluations
27. Supporting make-or-buy decisions for outsourcing vs. in-house production
