The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join the finance team supporting a vital segment of their international business. This role is crucial in providing accurate financial information and analytical support to drive effective decision-making within a dynamic global environment.
What You'll Do
You'll play a key role in the financial operations, contributing to robust reporting and analysis. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular management reports, including monthly and annual financial statements.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and analyze contract profitability to provide actionable insights.
- Budgeting Support: Assist with the annual budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
- Cash Flow Support: Contribute to cash flow management and forecasting activities.
- Financial Accuracy: Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all financial transactions.
- System Utilization: Optimize the use of accounting and reporting systems, including D365 ERP.
- Compliance Support: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and assist with audit preparations.
- Tax Assistance: Help prepare data for corporate and sales tax returns.
- Business Insights: Translate financial data into clear information and insights for non-financial managers to aid decision-making.
- Internal Controls: Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
What You'll Need
- A relevant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar (e.g., BCom/BAcc).
- CIMA qualification, or actively pursuing CIMA (e.g., Managerial or Strategic level), will be a distinct advantage.
- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a fast-paced international environment.
- Strong knowledge of Management Accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent Excel skills are essential.
- Familiarity with sales tax concepts and managing cross-border transactions is beneficial.
- Proven experience working with an ERP system, preferably D365.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure, manage multiple demands, and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining financial data clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Salary
R 650K CTC per annum
