Job summary

Helderberg Personnel seeks a seasoned financial professional to join as Group Financial Manager, based in Grabouw with travel to the Vyeboom area. You will drive monthly packs, forecasting, budgeting and strong cost accounting initiatives across three sites.

You will lead financial modelling, internal controls, and stakeholder reporting while developing process improvements and managing capital expenditure. Strong communication and project leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• It requires a BCom Management Accounting or equivalent with professional qualifications.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in production environments.
• At least 2+ years of management experience.
• Strong understanding of how financial and operational processes interrelate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve monthly management packs and support forecasting and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with Group Finance objectives and communicate with stakeholders.
• Interpret financial data, adjust forecasts, and report findings.
• Review internal controls and assess financial and operational risks.
• Support packhouses with financial analysis and process improvements.
• Manage capital expenditure requirements and related analyses.
• Review procurement practices for compliance and best practices.
• Conduct cost accounting to support KPI tracking.
• Formulate activity-based cost and revenue models to improve profitability.

Job description

Reporting to the Group Financial Manager you will be required to travel between the three operational sites in the Grabouw / Vyeboom area with your base office in Grabouw.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve monthly management packs, evaluate reports, and facilitate forecasting and budgeting process
• Ensure compliance with Group Finance objectives, translating them into efficient operational business processes. Maintaining effective communication with Group Finance
• Interpret financial data, adjusting forecasts, aligning critical volume drivers, and reporting findings to stakeholders.
• Review internal controls, propose improvements, and regularly assess financial and operational risks.
• Support packhouses with their financial analysis and propose solutions for business process improvements and project analysis requests.
• Manage and challenge capital expenditure requirements
• Review procurement practices, controls and disciplines to ensure compliance to best practise
• Cost accounting exercises to support operational KPI’S
• Formulate activity-based cost and revenue models to improve operational decision-making and profitability

Requirements:

• BCom Management Accounting Degree or relevant accounting qualification with CIMA, SAIPA or similar
• 5+ Years relevant experience, preferably within a production environment
• 2+ Years minimum management experience
• Proven understanding of interrelationship between financial and operational processes
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Advanced Excel skills
