Join Our Team as a Managed Services VoIP Engineer

The Managed Services VoIP Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the Voice over IP (VoIP) service, including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting. You will also perform various other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor work queues proactively.
  2. Perform operational tasks to resolve incidents and requests within agreed SLAs.
  3. Communicate with other teams and clients to extend support.
  4. Follow shift handover procedures, highlighting key tickets and upcoming critical tasks.
  5. Install, configure, and maintain voice switches, including interconnections between soft switches.
  6. Implement and manage a unified call-routing framework to leverage enterprise voice services.
  7. Troubleshoot system functions, identify faulty components, and resolve hardware, server, or network issues.
  8. Apply routine software updates and security patches.
  9. Plan and execute maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Matric - Grade 12
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP and related network technologies
  • CCNA certification
  • Experience with Gateway ISDN / PTSN
