Job summary

Black Pen Recruitment is assisting a client with an exciting Data Solution Architect role based in Malta. The candidate will architect and deliver large-scale data platforms, BI and analytics solutions using Azure technologies, with a focus on data governance and integration across complex environments.

The role requires hands-on expertise, strong communication, and leadership skills, with relocation support and international travel as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years working in a senior role.
• Experience designing and implementing Azure Data solutions using Azure services.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Azure Purview.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management and Data Governance frameworks.
• Familiar with CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and abroad.
• Graduate-level education in Computer Science or a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end Azure Data Platforms including Data Lakes, Warehouses and Lakehouses.
• Presales, estimating and responding to RFPs.
• Develop data strategy roadmaps with clients and plan delivery.
• Mentor and guide delivery team members.
• Ensure architectural documentation and standards are followed.
• Translate business requirements into reporting and analytics functionality.
