Our client, a leader in the Milling and Animal Feed sector, is looking for a skilled Maintenance Tradesperson to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of milling equipment, working closely with production teams to minimize downtime while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs of milling equipment
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
3. Perform electrical and mechanical tasks as required
4. Minimize downtime through efficient fault finding and repairs
5. Collaborate with production teams to uphold operational flow
6. Control and manage part stock, including reporting
7. Maintain accurate maintenance records
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
9. Prioritize tasks effectively and manage time to meet production demands
10. Apply strong mechanical, manufacturing, and troubleshooting skills

Minimum Requirements:

1. National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NQF 4)
2. Trade Test Certificate
3. Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience
4. Strong mechanical and manufacturing knowledge
5. Food manufacturing industry experience is advantageous
6. Manual dexterity with solid electrical and mechanical knowledge
7. Proficient in handling tools and equipment
8. Skilled in fault finding and solving complex mechanical issues
9. Stock control experience (managing parts and reporting)
10. Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
11. Ability to perform under pressure and demonstrate critical thinking skills
