Maintenance Tradesperson

Requirements:

1. National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF 4.
2. Trade Test Certificate.
3. Minimum 3 years of post-trade experience.
4. Strong mechanical and manufacturing skills.
5. Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of machines.
2. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and services.
3. Diagnose and repair mechanical malfunctions.
4. Manage stock control of parts and report low levels to the Maintenance Manager.

Skills and Competencies:

1. Effective task prioritization and time management.
2. Ability to cope under pressure and critical thinking.
3. Manual dexterity and strong electrical/mechanical knowledge.
4. Proficient in the use of tools and equipment with a high-tech aptitude.
5. Skilled in fault finding.
