Main job purpose

To maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery to ensure that the plant (mechanical, electrical and processes) is functioning at optimal efficiency, with minimal downtime.

Main Objective
  • To identify and fix breakdowns by troubleshooting faulty machinery and diagnosing the root cause of the malfunction using diagnostic tools and problem-solving abilities.
  • To implement preventative maintenance measures to determine reasons for breakdowns and to limit future breakdowns to ensure that production continues.
  • To adhere to all Safety regulations to ensure full plant maintenance and asset management is achieved and plant safety ensured.
  • To report all maintenance and repairs in order to analyse incidents reported and time spent in the plant.
  • To continuously provide recommendations on process improvements to all departments within the company to drive continuous improvement.
  • To ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effective decision making for the business.
