Maintenance Technician - Durbanville

Key Performance Areas include:

1. Ensure all maintenance stock, tools and equipment are correctly protected at all times.
2. Keep stock secure and primary keys controlled.
3. Keep and hand in all relevant administration and documents to management (checklists, reports, invoices, etc.).
4. Deliver all tasks and deadlines as stipulated by the inspection list, daily action list, and preventative maintenance list as required by management.
5. Provide club management with feedback and progress on maintenance issues daily while complying with compulsory health and safety guidelines within all areas of the club.
6. Ensure all risks are dealt with immediately and do not place the company, its staff, members, or the public at any risk of danger/harm.
7. Complete the required tasks and responsibilities to the highest standard and in line with company policies and procedures.
8. Ensure all areas of the club are well presented and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, health & safety.
9. Manage equipment breakdowns promptly whilst keeping management informed of the progress and expected repair time/date.
10. Provide club management with regular and accurate feedback on maintenance issues.

Experience & Competencies Required:

1. Proven general maintenance work experience (preferably with repairs and maintenance of gym and related equipment).
2. Must be able to carry out responsibilities in accordance with Planet Fitness values, policies and procedures and stipulated Health & Safety regulations.
3. Use initiative to resolve queries.
4. Must be flexible and adaptable.
5. Basic PC literacy.
6. Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact at all levels.
7. Must be able to work various shifts.
8. Display friendly and efficient qualities that reflect the Planet Fitness way.
9. A driver's licence will be an added advantage.
