Qualifications

• Qualified Millwright / Electrical Artisan.
• 5 years' total experience with PLC systems and wiring; supervisory exposure.
• Sound knowledge of the OHS Act.
• Code 08 Driver's Licence is essential.
• Crane, Forklift, Working at Heights and Fall Arrest certifications essential; CoC advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical queries within required timeframe.
• Commission and repair machinery, equipment, and products.
• Conduct on-site repairs, commissioning activities and surveys.
• Perform maintenance overhauls and assemble products.
• Inspect equipment to identify faults or defects.
• Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives within area of control.
• Provide specialized technical support to internal and external stakeholders.

• Certificate of Compliance certification will be advantageous.
• Available and willing to work overtime when required

Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to technical queries within the required timeframe.
• Commission and repair machinery, equipment, and products as required.
• Conduct on-site repairs, commissioning activities, and technical surveys.
• Perform maintenance overhauls and assemble products as required.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Calibrate or adjust equipment/tools to ensure quality production.
• Monitor activities affecting environmental quality.
• Comply with work rules, standards, and methods.
• Take care to minimize waste.
• Identify and provide feedback on cost-saving initiatives within area of control.
• Compile shutdown maintenance plans and provide electrical and mechanical engineering support to projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and energy-saving initiatives.
• Ensure the job card system is adhered to and remains effective in line with the maintenance system.
• Provide specialised technical and professional support to internal and external stakeholders to achieve functional and organisational objectives.
• Build and maintain interpersonal and team relationships to sustain a stable working environment and support team objectives.
• Adhere to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies, and procedures; report non-compliance and implement corrective action where required.
• General office maintenance.
