Position Description

Supervision: Under the direct supervision of the Machinery Lead Technician

Position requires 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in an industrial setting.

Performs preventative maintenance and repair of injection molding machinery & support equipment.

Rigs, installs, and tests injection molding machinery and support equipment.

Works under general supervision with some creativity and initiative.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines.

Scheduled on the 1st shift – 40 hours per week, with possible overtime & weekend work.

Scope of Work Performed
  • Troubleshoots, tests, repairs, and services electrical, hydraulic, electronic, material handling, chilled water, pneumatic systems, and other support equipment.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance per written instructions.
  • Installs machinery under guidance.
  • Fabricates and installs safety devices, access platforms, water systems, and electrical services.
  • May train others and perform related work as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience and training in industrial mechanics required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or two-year college in industrial mechanics preferred.
  • Specialized training in maintenance crafts is highly desired.
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, electricity, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, welding, and safety procedures.
  • Qualified to work on electrical systems up to volts as per NDS procedures.
  • Familiar with safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Certified forklift operator with a clean DMV report.
Physical Demands & Work Conditions
  • Requires standing, bending, walking, lifting 50 lbs, climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Exposure to oils, lubricants, chemicals, noise, and fumes.
  • Must wear PPE including steel-toed boots, eye, and hearing protection.
Additional Requirements
  • Must furnish standard hand tools.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
