Job description

Reporting to the Automation Group Leader, this position requires the services of an individual to ensure optimal press (hydraulic and mechanical) repair and maintenance as per company requirements.

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Spare parts control.
  2. Continuous development of artisans and assistant on all plant equipment.

Knowledge required:

  1. Full ability to understand all hydraulic / pneumatic & mechanical drawings pertaining specifically to plant machinery.
  2. Control / pressure relief / safety hydraulic valve experience.
  3. Quality specifications and systems.
  4. Basic repair knowledge.
  5. Hydraulic / mechanical seal knowledge or application.
  6. Torquing of bolts and nut.
  7. Presenting and writing reports.
  8. Discipline and grievance procedures.

Skills Required:

  1. Communication.
  2. Leadership.
  3. Control.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Grade 12 and NQF Level 6 qualification.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years press and assembly plant equipment maintenance experience in the automotive manufacturing environment.
  3. Extensive knowledge on Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
