Job Overview
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing all maintenance issues within the hotel, conducting daily maintenance checks, and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will also coordinate renovation projects and develop emergency response programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance issues across the hotel.
- Perform various repair and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, AC, landscaping, and painting.
- Organize work areas to execute repair tasks efficiently, maintaining quality and service standards.
- Lead by example, embodying brand-specific behaviors and delivering friendly hospitality.
- Support a positive work environment within the engineering and safety teams.
- Supervise and support maintenance team members, fostering a can-do attitude.
- Assist during busy periods across other departments, including guest operations, F&B, stewarding, housekeeping, and front office, dedicating at least 30 minutes daily to cross-departmental support.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest calls and work orders, repairing non-functioning machinery or equipment.
- Address guest feedback and calls immediately to ensure positive experiences.
- Train new and existing team members on maintenance processes, products, and systems.
- Participate actively in team meetings to maintain high trust and engagement levels.
- Participate in company campaigns and act as a Brand Ambassador.
- Update management on team performance and suggest development opportunities during regular meetings.
- Onboard and train new maintenance staff as instructed by your manager.
- Record, report, and follow up on repairs and maintenance issues.
- Contribute ideas to reduce costs and conserve energy and water.
- Ensure safety inspections are conducted monthly and staff are trained accordingly.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong commitment to customer service and working on behalf of guests.
- Advanced knowledge of building management and engineering.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently.
- Previous management experience.
- First Aid certification is advantageous.
- Vocational training in engineering or a related field is preferred.
