Job summary

Samancor is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in the North West region. The role focuses on supervising maintenance activities, managing planned and unplanned work, and ensuring SHEQ compliance across the team.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, coordinating resources, and guiding contractors while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity targets in a heavy industry setting.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience; supervisory exposure preferred.
• Qualified Mechanical Artisan: Fitter and Turner is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess risk exposures in area of responsibility and implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure SHEQ compliance within the team using the IMS toolbox.
• Manage schedule to resource unplanned work and optimize maintenance cost per unit produced.
