HME Maintenance Superintendent – Australia

Globe 24-7, in partnership with a global earthmoving contractor in Australia, is seeking experienced and qualified talent to join their team.

The Role

We are recruiting several Maintenance Superintendents to be based on-site in Australia. These positions offer a unique opportunity to work with a respected contractor on mining projects, providing hands-on leadership and technical oversight for heavy equipment maintenance operations.

Note: Candidates must be willing to relocate to Australia.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee daily maintenance activities for a fleet of earthmoving equipment including Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr, Epiroc, and Caterpillar.
  2. Lead and supervise a team of maintenance supervisors to ensure equipment availability and performance.
  3. Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
  4. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  5. Conduct technical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  6. Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  7. Liaise with site operations to support overall project delivery.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in the maintenance of earthmoving equipment within the mining industry.
  • At least 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proven experience working for a mining contractor.
  • Expertise with OEMs such as Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr, and Caterpillar.
  • A trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic or Fitter) is preferred; a Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma is advantageous.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to Australia and work on a fly-in, fly-out roster.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
