Applications are invited to apply for the above-mentioned position to be based in our Gqeberha Manufacturing Plant within our Procurement Department and report to the PP&L Manager
.
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
- Ensured stock availability of MRO (maintenance repairs and operations) by sourcing the correct suppliers.
- Apply and execute effective stock management principles
- Innovation and business improvements in support of operational and segment goals
- Established networks with internal clients and external suppliers.
- Ensure that quality & risk management standards, policies and procedures are adhered to within the department.
- Check the purchase requisition.
- Ensure correct supplier.
- Create purchase order.
- Place the order timeously
- Attend to outstanding orders and queries (Open PO’s)
- Administration of procurement process .
- Ensure supplier reliability
- Expediting any risks.
- BBBEE compliance
- Evaluate vendors and contractors to determine price, quality and service
- Establish and create new vendors after evaluation.
- ICC completion and audits - Procurement
The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills
- Minimum of a senior certificate (Grade 12).
- A National Diploma/Degree within the Logistics study fields.
- 3 – 4 years’ experience Procurement environment
- Proven computer literacy in MS Office, especially Excel on an intermediate level of competency is essential.
- Experience of the SAP administration system will be advantageous.
- The ability to develop a clear vision for subordinates and involving team members in creating a shared vision.
- The ability to utilize the appropriate leadership style and develop individual capabilities.
- The ability to develop new ideas and to create new concepts and solutions to problems.
- Knowledge of all stock control management principles.
The ability to manage the stock control process through procedure and process adherence
