Position Title : Maintenance Planner and Scheduler

Position Type : Regular Full-Time

Position Location : Springs

Grade : Grade 03

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Develop, maintain, and improve preventive maintenance schedules for all critical assets.
  2. Coordinate and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks in collaboration with production and maintenance teams.
  3. Create and manage work orders and job cards using CMMS (e.g., SAP).
  4. Prepare and issue maintenance schedules ensuring resource availability (technicians, tools, parts, permits).
  5. Prioritize work orders based on urgency, safety, and production requirements.
  6. Monitor compliance to planned schedules and update accordingly.
  7. Ensure maintenance KPIs are tracked and reported (e.g., MTTR, MTBF, adherence to schedule).
  8. Maintain accurate maintenance records and history of equipment breakdowns and interventions.
  9. Liaise with procurement/stores for timely availability of spare parts and consumables.
  10. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  11. Assist in annual shutdown planning.
  12. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  13. Assign schedules on SAP system and coordinate maintenance planning meetings.
  14. Close out completed shutdown work orders and generate reports such as shutdown compliance, work order turnover, OEE, downtime analysis, and engineering reports.
  15. Manage work order management, filing, and archiving to ensure audit readiness.
  16. Participate in audits and update engineering board reports.
  17. Adhere to work order schedules and load new or alter existing schedules on SAP CMMS.
  18. Supervise safety permits, issue shutdowns, and coordinate progress meetings.
  19. Manage SAP user access requests and equipment hierarchy updates.
  20. Coordinate post-shutdown meetings, document, and plan all actions.
Requirements :
  • Education & Qualifications : National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience : Minimum 3-5 years in maintenance planning/scheduling in FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Solid knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with plant machinery and utilities.
