Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance across daily, weekly, monthly and shutdown programmes.
• Coordinate planned and ad hoc maintenance with Engineering.
• Prepare and update weekly maintenance plans and schedules.
• Allocate preventive maintenance tasks to resources via CMMS.
• Maintain and update PM master data.
• Follow up on completed projects and analyse feedback.
• Update equipment BOMs and add components to CMMS.
• Maintain the Critical Spares List.
• Create purchase requisitions for electrical, service, process, safety, mechanical, stores and projects.
• Coordinate consumable orders and approvals.
• Monitor weekly maintenance execution, schedule compliance and downtime.
• Analyse maintenance history and report to management.
• Review job cards for data accuracy.
• Assist with analysing shutdown costs.
• Collaborate with Engineering Stores to ensure spares are available.
• Support safety requirements including LOTO, PTW and SOPs.
• Perform general maintenance administration and reporting.

MAINTENANCE PLANNER

Location: Howick, KZN

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant Trade NON-NEGOTIABLE!!!!!!!!!
• Experience planning maintenance and shutdowns.
• Understanding of boilers (Highly advantageous)
• Strong scheduling and predictive maintenance experience.
• Heavy industry experience essential.
• Experience with commissioning.
• Ability to effectively plan for breakdowns and minimise downtime.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule engineering maintenance activities across daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and shutdown programmes.
• Coordinate planned and ad hoc maintenance activities with the Engineering team.
• Assist with preparing and updating weekly maintenance plans and schedules.
• Schedule and allocate preventative maintenance tasks to resources through the CMMS.
• Maintain and update preventative maintenance master data.
• Follow up on completed projects and analyse maintenance feedback.
• Update equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs) and add new components to the system.
• Maintain and update the Critical Spares List.
• Create purchase requisitions for Electrical, Services, Process, Safety, Mechanical, Stores, and Projects requirements.
• Coordinate consumable orders and ensure the required approvals are obtained.
• Monitor and report on weekly maintenance execution, schedule compliance, breakdowns, and artisan productivity.
• Analyse maintenance history and report findings to management.
• Review job cards and verify the integrity and accuracy of maintenance data captured by artisans.
• Assist with analysing maintenance shutdown costs.
• Work closely with Engineering Stores to ensure spares are available for planned maintenance.
• Support Engineering team safety requirements, including LOTO, PTW, and SOPs.
• Perform general maintenance-related administration as required.
• Compile maintenance reports using collected and analysed data in the prescribed formats.
