Job description

ROLE PURPOSE

To implement an effective planned preventative maintenance plan and system within customer facilities and ensure SLA delivery.

MAIN OUTPUTS
  1. Drive timeous execution of planned and scheduled maintenance according to client schedules and in line with client SLA’s
  2. Identify and manage suitable suppliers to execute planned maintenance
  3. Identify and manage planned maintenance tasks to be delivered by in-house staff
  4. Identify maintenance risks on Client’s property and equipment towards evaluation and resolution
  5. Implement an effective HSE, Quality & Risk Management system in accordance with Client needs
  6. Ensure optimum utilization of available resources in various planned maintenance works
  7. Ensure timely delivery and appropriateness of parts and spares for effective maintenance execution
  8. Continuously monitor and evaluate maintenance work performed by technical staff and suppliers to ensure quality, cost optimization, and timely execution as per SLA, work instructions, and Client’s instructions
  9. Identify gaps and deficiencies in services, advise, and implement solutions as part of Continuous Improvement on FM services rendered
  10. Manage back-to-back SLA agreements with suppliers and contractors
  11. Monitor service providers’ (contractors) performance and implement corrective actions on deviations to the SLA
  12. Assist in managing technical projects and provide technical support where applicable
  13. Demonstrate and instill effective adherence to processes on infrastructure maintenance
  14. Explore and recommend innovative, cost-effective methods based on best practices
  15. Manage operations within the allocated budget
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • National Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Valid SA Drivers License
  • At least 3 years of technical experience in Facilities Management and Property Management
  • At least 2 years of mining industry experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate level)
  • SAP knowledge
  • Knowledge of OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management, Risk Management Systems, Property Law & Contractual Law
  • Relevant on-site training (SOP training, HIRA, Strata Control, Fatigue management)
