Job summary

Virgin Active South Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Operator to complete maintenance plans and tasks in line with regional standards. The role also supports maintenance administration, stock control, and reporting duties.

Responsibilities

• Completing maintenance plans and tasks as instructed.
• Assisting with maintenance administration and stock control.
• Prepare pool logs and downtime reports.
• Mark off completed tasks in job books and complete standard checklists.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safe work areas.
• Familiarise self with OSH Act and health & safety requirements.
• Attend daily meetings and follow instructions from Maintenance Technician/Manager.

Job description

Your Purpose...

• To inspire people to live active lives shall be responsible for completing maintenance plans and tasks.
• Assisting with maintenance administration.
• The Maintenance Operator is hands on in their position completing maintenance plans and tasks, to the Regional standards and at all times delivering service excellence.

Your Duties and Responsibilities...

• A: COMPLETING MAINTENANCE PLANS AND TASKS AS INSTRUCTED

  1. Check job book, fitness checklist and open/close MOD checklist for faults.
  2. Complete tasks from RAP sheet of brand standards and within time constraints.
  3. Attend to breakdowns/incidents as required and within turn around time.
  4. Receive instructions from daily meeting with Maintenance Technician/Manager.
  5. Carry out preventative maintenance and service plans.
  6. Be hands on in repair of all equipment, and premises (including outside of premises).

     A1: Complete daily tasks according to timelines and standards.

     A2: Work within all health & safety requirements.

1. Good general housekeeping.
2. Ensure cleanliness, hygienic, safe, tidy work areas.
3. Correct storage of tools, consumables and equipment.
4. To familiarise self with OSH Act.
5. To seek advice if unclear on the correct usage/storage of any equipment/consumable in terms of health & safety.

B. Assisting with Maintenance Administration

• B1: Complete stock control

1. Monitor regularly used consumables
2. Report need for replacement to management.

• B2: Assist with reports

1. Complete pool logs.
2. Complete downtime reports.
3. Mark off completed tasks in job books.
4. Complete standard checklists for preventative maintenance.
