Job summary

Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway in Hartbeespoort, North West, seeks maintenance-minded candidates to keep the facility running and address issues proactively. Responsibilities

• Keep the facility running and identify issues before they worsen.
• Identify possible unforeseen circumstances and plan alternatives.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and repaired as needed.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and take appropriate action.
• Ensure proper use of equipment, chemicals and company policies.
• Follow ISO and HACCP standards for working methods.
• Attend safety representative and committee meetings if required.

Qualifications and skills

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 11
• Experience 2 years of experience in maintenance or a similar field
• Experience with specific equipment or machinery relevant to the industry may be required
• Good interpersonal relationships
• Honesty and trustworthy
• Ability to handle pressure
• Electrical skills – Understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting
• Strength and stamina – Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments
• Adaptability to different working arears and conditions
• Must be willing to work shifts
• Must have own accommodation and transport
