Job summary

Tolcon Group (Pty) Ltd in North West is seeking a maintenance-focused candidate to help keep facilities running. The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, electrical skills, and the ability to work across shifts while maintaining high safety standards.

Candidates should be reliable, physically capable, with good interpersonal skills and the willingness to work in a team. Own transport and accommodation are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Grade 11 and two years' maintenance experience.
• Experience with equipment or machinery relevant to the industry may be required.
• Ability to work shifts and have own accommodation and transport is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills, honesty and reliability.
• Electrical skills and knowledge of wiring, circuits and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Keep the facility running and identify problems before they worsen.
• Identify unforeseen circumstances and plan alternative actions in advance.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and repaired as necessary.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Use correct working methods according to ISO and HACCP standards.
• Attend relevant Safety Representative and Committee meetings if required.

Qualifications and Skills

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 11 Experience 2 years of experience in maintenance or a similar field
• Experience with specific equipment or machinery relevant to the industry may be required
• Good interpersonal relationships
• Honesty and trustworthy
• Ability to handle pressure
• Electrical Skills Understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting
• Strength and Stamina Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments
• Adaptability to different working arears and conditions
• Must be willing to work shifts
• Must have own accommodation and transport

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidates responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Keep the facility running and prepare any problems when they discover before they have a chance to worsen.
• Identify possible unforeseen circumstances and plan alternative action in advance.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and take appropriate
• Proper use of equipment and chemicals and company policies and procedures
• Use correct working methods according to ISO and HACCP standards.
