Responsibilities
  • Carry out a wide range of reactive and preventative maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, minor electrical works, and routine inspections.
  • Support the Facilities Manager with defect reporting, snagging, and coordination of external contractors.
  • Prepare apartments to the highest standards for incoming residents and ensure void units are maintained effectively.
  • Conduct regular building checks, fire alarm testing, and compliance-related activities to ensure health and safety standards are met.
  • Manage maintenance requests efficiently, providing immediate solutions where possible and escalating when required.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records on the Yardi platform and ensure all tools and equipment are well maintained.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives, such as efficient energy use in void properties.
  • Act as a visible and approachable point of contact for residents, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
  • Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs, including furniture relocation when necessary.
Skills, knowledge and expertise
  • Hands-on maintenance experience across a variety of trades (plumbing, carpentry, basic electrics).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical and long-term solutions.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks to minimise downtime.
