We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Manager - Mechanical to lead our maintenance team and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute strategic maintenance plans to optimize equipment reliability and efficiency.
2. Oversee a wide range of mechanical services, including rigging, fabrication, condition monitoring, and project engineering.
3. Manage the development and maintenance of comprehensive maintenance standards and procedures.
4. Lead project planning and execution, ensuring adherence to Sappi's project management standards and change management practices.
5. Direct and coordinate major and minor shutdowns, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
6. Identify and implement reliability improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
7. Manage third-party contractors, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
8. Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to legal regulations and continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences (4 year degree)
2. Relevant management qualification (e.g., PMP, MBA)
3. 5-8 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferably in the pulp and paper industry
4. Government Certificate of Competence (Factories)
5. Professional Engineering registration (advantageous)
