Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Operational / Project / Maintenance Manager to join our professional team. This role is ideal for a practical, solutions-driven individual with a strong operational mindset, capable of overseeing daily maintenance, managing on-site workers, and ensuring that commercial properties are maintained to the highest standards

Working hours :

  • Monday – Friday : 08 : 00 – 17 : 00

Minimum requirements :

  • Grade 12
  • 5+ years’ experience in property / facilities / maintenance management.
  • Retail or commercial property knowledge is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and contractors .
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Competency in basic repair work and general maintenance .
  • Knowledge of budget control, procurement, and compliance standards.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office; property software beneficial).

Duties :

  • Oversee general building maintenance, safety, and compliance.
  • Supervise a team of 3 on-site maintenance workers and ensure task allocation and productivity.
  • Be a DIY-type person – someone who is capable and comfortable with small hands-on tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, basic repairs, identifying technical issues).
  • Manage and monitor external service providers (e.g., cleaning, security, and contractors)
  • Plan and execute small to medium-scale projects, including refurbishments and facility upgrades.
  • Maintain compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and develop preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Manage budgets related to maintenance, repairs, and projects.
  • Procure materials, equipment, and services in a cost-effective manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to high quality, on time, and within budget.
