Maintenance Manager

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Government Certificate of Competency (Factories)
• 5-8 years of experience in maintenance management within a foundry or heavy industrial environment
• Technical proficiency
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of preventative/predictive maintenance techniques
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively
• Leadership and compliance
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations while fostering a culture of safety
• Budgeting and collaboration
  • Experience in managing maintenance budgets and controlling costs
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineering and production teams

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance management and optimization
  • Manage mechanical and electrical breakdowns
  • Set up planned maintenance systems
  • Implement productivity improvement plans to maximise output, minimize downtime, and continuously improve processes, systems, energy, and water usage
• Operational reliability and sustainability
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of air, steam, gas, and electrical services
  • Assist in reducing the plant's carbon footprint
  • Design safety-focused equipment
  • Implement control systems to prevent maintenance stock losses
• Leadership and compliance
  • Optimize artisan utilization
  • Manage employees and maintenance contracts effectively in line with company policies and procedures
  • Comply with the General Machine Regulations under the OHS Act
  • Execute business continuity and disaster recovery plans
• Financial and project oversight
  • Manage departmental budgets and Capex projects
  • Develop standard work instructions for consistent processes
  • Improve customer satisfaction through efficient resource utilization
