Job Purpose

This role will take accountability for managing operational projects within the maintenance space, ensuring Infrastructure maintenance initiatives are carried out successfully within agreed timeframes, cost, and scope.

They will also manage ad hoc maintenance requests, ensuring issues are addressed within agreed SLA's.

Key Accountabilities and Outputs

  1. Manage operational projects within the maintenance space ensuring Infrastructure maintenance initiatives are carried out successfully within agreed timeframes, cost, and scope.
  2. Manage all maintenance and related activities to ensure optimal levels of plant and equipment availability.
  3. Ensure all equipment and safety standards are maintained.
  4. Manage ad hoc maintenance requests, ensuring issues are addressed within agreed SLA's.
  5. Effectively manage relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  6. Provide expert advice and help efficiently resolve maintenance queries.
  7. Actively participate in operational planning and budgeting processes.
  8. Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes, and systems.
  9. Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards, and controls.
  10. Control cost and take the necessary action to mitigate any financial risks or non-compliance.
  11. Staff shall adhere to all Food Safety Policies and PRP's and shall adhere to and enforce all food safety requirements at all times.
  12. Staff shall adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental Policies and PRP's and shall adhere to and enforce all Health and Safety requirements at all times.
  13. Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Bachelors Degree (3-4 years) / NQF level 7 BScience : Engineering (Essential).
  2. FMCG bottling experience with a min of 3-4 years leading maintenance teams (bottling preferred).
  3. Lean manufacturing experience (preferred).
  4. Leadership Capability.
  5. MS Excel; SAP; MS PowerPoint; MS Word; E Mail.

  2. Problem Solving: Proactive identification of functional problems that do not have predetermined guidelines, routines, or procedures for solution.

  4. Planning and Organising: Manages time effectively, ensuring effective completion of tasks under stressful deadlines.
  5. Leadership: Able to communicate and gain team commitment to a vision of what is to be achieved.
