Job description

The Purpose of the Role: This role will take accountability for managing operational projects within the maintenance space, ensuring infrastructure maintenance initiatives are carried out successfully within agreed timeframes, cost, and scope.

They will also manage ad hoc maintenance requests, ensuring issues are addressed within agreed SLA's.

Role: Maintenance Manager

Location: Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Industry: Manufacturing - Bottling - FMCG

Operations: Accountable for maintaining quality, standards, service, and desired outputs within inter-related functional areas of responsibility.

May be responsible for ensuring the adherence of others to a set framework of policies and procedures.

This role will work with various concrete variables, requiring an understanding of the theory or practices underpinning inter-related functional processes within a multi-procedural environment.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Must have Grade 12, Matric or NQF4 equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor's Degree (3-4 years) / NQF level 7 - Bachelor of Science: Engineering (Essential)
  • FMCG bottling experience with a minimum of 3-4 years leading maintenance teams (bottling preferred)
  • Lean manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Leadership Capability
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Email
  • Clear criminal record

  • Drive continuous improvement, ensure adherence to operational, safety, and food safety standards.

Staff must adhere to all safety, health, food safety, and environmental policies and procedures, including visitor and contractor policies, hygiene, contamination control, and incident reporting. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and enforce compliance with legislative and statutory requirements.
