WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The successful candidate for the Maintenance Manager position will be the primary point of contact for overseeing site maintenance and ensuring the efficient operation of plant equipment. This role is crucial for implementing preventative and corrective maintenance programs while adhering to BASF and local regulatory standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute improvements, manage contractor compliance, and oversee the annual maintenance budget. Please note that this role may require occasional travel to support maintenance activities and engage with stakeholders on-site.

Duties will include the following:

  • Evaluate and execute plant modifications and upgrades, adhering to BASF and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with local teams and Global AP Technology Division for necessary technology improvements.
  • Oversee site maintenance and services, including water and power.
  • Implement a preventative and corrective maintenance program using SAP PM.
  • Maintain critical spare parts inventory in line with operational needs and budget constraints.
  • Minimize production downtime through effective scheduling of maintenance and repairs.
  • Manage external contractors to ensure compliance with on-site procedures and regulations.
  • Conduct mandatory inspections and maintain documentation for safety and quality.
  • Lead process safety management reviews and participate in SHE risk assessments.
  • Prepare and manage the annual departmental operating budget.
WHAT YOU OFFER
  • B.Sc. or B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10 years of experience in a similar role with staff management experience
  • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) is advantageous
  • Knowledge of EHS systems and Responsible Care Management is preferred
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint; SAP4HANA experience is a plus
  • Strong skills in budget setting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Expertise in automation systems (SCADA) and E&I knowledge
