Qualifications

  • FSSC 22000 Food Safety experience.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a managerial position within a technical environment
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a milling environment (FMCG)
  • GMR 2.7 experience and advanced OHSACT Certification with a proven track record of at least 6–10 years
  • FSSC 22000 Food Safety experience with a proven track record of at least 5 years
  • Health and Safety experience with a proven track record of at least 6–10 years
  • Experience of 6–10 years in planned preventative maintenance programs (C-Works, Pragma, or SAP)
  • HR and IR process experience with a proven track record of 5–10 years
  • Experience with blowers, boilers, and compressors, with a proven track record of 6–10 years
  • Experience with SCADA, VSD, and extensive knowledge of Fawema packing machinery (5–10 years)
  • Responsible for GMR 2.7 compliance on site
  • Management of assets and ensuring planned preventative maintenance
  • Providing technical support to the Technical Team
  • Maintenance of automated packing machines including Fawema systems
  • Assist with projects and Capex management to improve mill efficiencies
  • Cost control and budget management for the Maintenance Department
  • Oversee health and safety, as well as food safety within the maintenance department
  • Manage maintenance staff including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training
  • Ensure sufficient maintenance stock in accordance with department requirements
  • Coordinate, assign, and supervise daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly schedules
  • Establish job priorities and time frames for maintenance staff
  • Oversee installation and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Monitor job completion through inspections to ensure compliance with standards
  • Train employees on equipment, procedures, work standards, and safety
  • Schedule maintenance activities, including contractor work
  • Develop specifications and recommend capital equipment purchases
  • Maintain documentation of maintenance schedules, equipment installations, repairs, and work orders
