The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all installations, repairs, and upkeep of operations and facilities. Responsibilities include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures.

- N6 Electrical qualification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a managerial role within a technical environment
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a milling environment (FMCG)
- GMR 2.7 experience and advanced OHSACT Certification (minimum 6-10 years)
- FSSC 22000 Food Safety experience (minimum 5 years)
- Health and Safety experience (minimum 6-10 years)
- Experience with planned preventative maintenance programs (C-Works, Pragma, or SAP) (6-10 years)
- HR and IR process experience (5-10 years)
- Experience with blowers, boilers, and compressors (6-10 years)
- Experience with SCADA, VSDs
- Extensive knowledge of Fawema packing machinery (5-10 years)
Key Outputs
- Ensure GMR 2.7 compliance on site
- Manage assets and ensure planned preventative maintenance
- Provide technical support to the technical team
- Maintain automated packing machines, including Fawema systems
- Assist with projects and Capex management to improve mill efficiencies
- Manage maintenance department budgets and control costs
- Oversee health, safety, and food safety within the department
- Manage maintenance staff, including recruitment, performance, and training
- Maintain sufficient maintenance stock
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities
- Establish job priorities and time frames
- Oversee installation and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Monitor job completion for compliance and quality
- Train employees on equipment, procedures, and safety
- Schedule maintenance activities, including contractor work
- Develop specifications and recommend capital equipment purchases
- Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and reports
- Implement INVOCOM system effectively
