Qualifications

• 10 years of plant experience as a qualified millwright.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Computer literate and must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to Production, Electrical, and Mechanical areas.
• Lead maintenance teams and perform breakdowns and inspections on a 24 hrs basis.
• Ensure maximum plant availability and efficiency.

Job description

The Maintenance Manager is responsible to provide maintenance support to Production, Electrical and M echanical areas and lead a maintenance teams. Breakdowns and inspections are performed on a 24 hrs basis to ensure maximum plant availability and efficiency.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Experience in a heavy industry will be beneficial.

Must have sound knowledge of planned maintenance principles

Knowledge of maintenance & repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic , electrical, mechanical, pumps and grease systems

Knowledge of various production systems (conveyors, tank and drum mix ers and batching systems and mobile equipment , etc.)

Knowledge required of maintenance on electrical motors as well as overhead cranes.

Suitable candidate must be Computer literate

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Matric or N 3 with Mathematics and Science

Must have a relevant trade test as a Millwright

10 years of plant experience as a qualified millwright.

At least 5 supervisory experience .

Motivated self-starter with the ability to think analytically

Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills,

Maintain standards in the plant and adhere to all safety rules and procedures

Physically fit, not afraid of heights or confined spaces

Flexible and willing to work overtime when required

Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license

Remuneration :

Negotiable between R 540 k to R 660 k
