Job description

Organisational Strategy
  • Contribute to the organisational strategy by understanding the key strategic drivers and providing input annually.
Operational Planning and Management
  • Develop the departmental operations plan, including all projects and key performance measures, and submit for approval annually and as needed.
  • Report on performance by tracking against targets, identifying progress and concerns, and drafting quarterly reports and submissions.
Policy and Procedure Management
  • Develop departmental policies and procedures considering good practices, regulatory, and compliance requirements, and submit for approval.
  • Manage compliance by monitoring adherence, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions.
Technical Management
  • Manage development and implementation of maintenance and infrastructure plans, monitor project and site planning, review, and optimize for delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Support infrastructure development by providing technical input and managing assets and resources effectively.
  • Ensure maintenance standards are met by overseeing delivery, monitoring cycles, and enhancing preventative maintenance programs.
Budget and Financial Management
  • Develop budgets based on operational needs and submit for approval.
  • Track expenditure, review costs, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage security, disaster recovery, and departmental risk by reviewing measures, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
SHE Management
  • Manage SHE by ensuring training is provided, gaps are addressed, and compliance is maintained.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and engagement with industry initiatives, representing the organization effectively.
  • Recruit and manage staff, set performance expectations, monitor work, and implement corrective actions as needed.
