Maintenance Fitter

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Asset management to maintain buildings, structures, equipment, and machinery in standard conditions.
2. Conduct inspections, breakdowns, and preventative maintenance.
3. Annual shutdown action plan, resource allocation, and execution.
4. Attend and react to standby and call-outs expediently.
5. Act as a Health and Safety custodian and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
6. General housekeeping.
7. Maintain manufacturing/production of electrically driven machines and electronic control gear equipment.
8. Diagnose and execute fault-finding and repairs on equipment failures to effectively minimize machine and equipment downtime.
9. Maintenance, reconstruction, and installation of machinery and equipment.
10. Propose modifications to machines and equipment for better performance or Health and Safety improvements.
11. Financial controls of maintenance budgets.
12. Training of maintenance team and mechanical- and electrical trainees/learners.
