Fitter - Atlantis Industrial

Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Contract: Permanent (with a 6-month probation period)
Shift: Nightshift (17h30 03h00) + Standby + Flexible

The Opportunity

Are you a skilled Fitter who thrives on solving problems, ensuring uptime, and driving operational excellence?

Seekinga hands-on professional who will keep our plant running at peak performance. You'll play a key role in maintaining equipment, preventing breakdowns, and ensuring we deliver on our production goals.

What You'll Do
  • Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
    Repair, install, fit, and align machinery and structural components
    Conduct regular inspections and maintain equipment to the highest standards
    Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
    Apply safe welding practices (MIG, TIG, Arc advantageous)
    Assist with general maintenance and collaborate with your team
    Work independently to solve technical problems under pressure
    Always prioritize safety first in everything you do
What Were Looking For
  • Trade Test: Fitter with N3 Mechanical Engineering or Matric
    At least 5 years of experience in plant maintenance within manufacturing
    Electrical and PLC knowledge (advantageous)
    Welding skills/qualification (advantageous)
    Strong understanding of maintenance systems and technical drawings
    Excellent problem-solving, planning, and coordination skills
    Physically fit and comfortable with working at heights and in confined spaces
    Flexible with shift work, weekends, public holidays, and standby
    Own reliable transport & a valid driver's license
    A true team player with a "get it done" attitude
