Job summary

You will oversee planned scheduling, supervise staff, and coordinate with contractors to maintain complex infrastructure and guest facilities.

The role requires Matric, an engineering qualification, substantial artisan and management experience, and a track record in facilities maintenance within casino/hotel settings.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred.
• 5 years artisan experience.
• 5 years management/supervisory experience.
• Experience in Casino/Hotel environment advantageous.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Good financial acumen.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of reticulation services including water drainage, electricity, gas and air conditioning.
• General maintenance throughout the complex.
• Planned preventative maintenance.
• Maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration.
• Monitor and co-ordinate all services performed by contractors on site.
• Inspections of building and grounds to ensure compliance with building regulations and health and safety act.
• Attend to breakdowns.
• Staff supervision, direction and development.
• Submit energy saving initiatives.
• Budgeting, analyzing monthly financial statements for the department and cost saving.
• Ensure FMS is controlled and regular reports are completed.
• Participate in operations development meetings.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by dealing with queries and complaints efficiently.
