PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • Plan and maintain equipment according to EHS rules, RCM, and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Manage subcontractors on daily maintenance, investigate breakdowns, and analyze root causes.
  • Minimize downtime and ensure production is not affected by planned or unplanned maintenance.
  • Maintain a 95% availability on all equipment, plant, and tools.

  • Support functions such as Supply Chain, Production, Quality
  • Maintenance subcontractors

MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, supervise, and monitor the execution of maintenance activities, including calibrations and interventions.
  • Coordinate forecasts from the Maintenance Management System of the customer.
  • Ensure maintenance schedules are detailed, documented, and correctly implemented by the customer.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruption of maintenance activities.
  • Investigate breakdowns using root cause analysis and other techniques.
  • Plan for maintenance consumables and spares, ensuring availability through effective stock control.
  • Monitor and record locomotive availability, utilization, and KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, etc.).
  • Maintain records such as status labels, certificates, reports, and certificates of compliance.
  • Keep meticulous records of all maintenance, calibration, and inspection interventions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with quality procedures and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and discipline contractors to adhere to quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance contractors to plan activities.
  • Participate in APSYS actions to guarantee equipment availability and effectiveness.
  • Manage the maintenance team to ensure proper functioning of equipment installations.
  • Report equipment data in line with industrial needs and follow-up indicators.
  • Maintain all equipment documentation (paper and digital).
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Service Engineering Manager.
  • Work in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.

  • Adhere to HSE and Quality policies.
  • Respect OPEX maintenance budgets.
  • Saturate critical tools and equipment.
  • Meet target task times aligned with planning.
  • Ensure tools are available for maintenance and repairs.
  • Operate autonomously with a spirit of agility, inclusiveness, and responsibility.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

BEHAVIOUR

Flexible, adaptable, conscientious, team-oriented, eager to learn, analytical, capable of coaching, self-motivated, logical, organized, and communicative. Autonomous work ethic.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Technical university degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering. IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years in railway system/application engineering. Minimum 5 years in maintenance, preferably in manufacturing. Experience managing subcontracted activities. Ability to read schematics, drawings, and software specs. Knowledge of quality and health & safety standards is a plus.
