As a Maintenance Engineer in Industrial Automation, you're responsible for ensuring process control systems operate reliably. Your duties include troubleshooting issues, improving system performance, and supporting the continuous optimization of production processes. You will work closely with operators and technical teams to develop and implement proactive maintenance plans, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. A key aspect of your role is training and supporting team members. Your work contributes to our shared goal: creating a cleaner world through smart resource recovery and environmental care.

Job requirements (HARD REQUIREMENT):

1. HBO/University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field;
2. 5+ years of experience with Electrical & Instrumentation and automation engineering within an industrial environment;
3. Experience with maintenance on Electrical and Instrumentation systems;
4. Experience with PLCs & SCADA systems (Emerson preferred);
5. Ability to write clear and comprehensive Technical Assignment Statements (TOS) for execution by staff or contractors;
6. Fluent in Afrikaans.
