Job description

Join Our Team as a Maintenance Engineer!

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to provide efficient, cost-effective maintenance and engineering support to optimize plant production safely and in compliance with legal standards.

Key Responsibilities : Ensure SHEQ Compliance : Guide the technical team to strictly follow all safety, health, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and work instructions, including permit requirements and lockout procedures.

Drive Proactive Maintenance : Implement and improve predictive and preventative maintenance techniques to minimize unplanned downtime, plan maintenance schedules, and manage equipment uptime.

Manage Plant Reliability : Monitor equipment failures, conduct root cause analyses, and suggest process and equipment changes to prevent recurrence.

Oversee Projects and Compliance : Manage equipment renewal and capital projects, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and guide plant modifications.

Control Budgets and Costs : Participate in annual maintenance budgeting, monitor expenses, approve requisitions, and identify cost-effective design or plant changes.

Utilize SAP System : Log all maintenance activities in SAP, evaluate adherence to processes, and review bills of material and management of change (MOC) temporary changes.

Lead Technical Team : Oversee recruitment, performance management, development, and provide on-the-job coaching to the technical / maintenance team.

Foster Collaboration & Reporting : Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, build customer relationships, and prepare comprehensive maintenance reports.

Minimum Requirements : BSc / BEng / BTech / Advance Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Possession of a Government Certificate of Competency (Factories) is an added advantage.

Minimum of 5 years' maintenance experience in a heavy industry environment.

Supervisory experience is beneficial.
