Job summary

Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd in Gauteng is seeking a facilities maintenance technician responsible for keeping hospital facilities clean and in good operating condition, and performing general maintenance and repairs of buildings, grounds and equipment. The role requires Grade 12 and Engineering N3, with experience in plumbing, carpentry and electrical work, plus safe use of hand and power tools.

You will plan, inspect, and respond to maintenance requests while supporting audits and cost

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is the minimum educational requirement.
• Engineering N3 is required.
• General maintenance experience is expected.
• Sound knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical wiring.
• The ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete minor repair work, including repairing of doors, frames and replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches and windows.
• Perform basic plumbing tasks, such as unclogging drains and fixing leaking faucets and toilets.
• Inspect control panels and electrical wiring to detect issues and repair them.
• Respond promptly to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Assist in creating toolkits and training materials for a steady skills pipeline.
• Inspect and arrange for repair of fixtures, sewer systems, fire extinguishing systems, mechanical equipment under supervision.
• Monitor costs to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste.
• Prepare financial and operational month-end reports.
• Submit feedback and progress updates to the Technical Manager.
