Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Asset Care Lead ensures that Energy Drive asset care strategies, standards and maintenance plans are executed effectively across all operating regions so that assets achieve the required levels of availability, reliability and performance.

The role provides end-to-end coordination and oversight of day-to-day asset care activities, including maintenance planning and scheduling, site execution and the management of maintenance contractors and specialist service providers against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA). The Asset Care Lead serves as a key interface between Energy Drive, its clients, contractors and specialist service providers ensuring that asset care activities are planned and executed safely, to the required technical standard and within agreed timeframes.

A key focus of the role is the disciplined use of CMMS (MaintainX) and other digital tools, the integrity of asset data and maintenance records, and the continuous identification and implementation of improvements that enhance maintenance effectiveness and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES - KEY ACTIVITIES
Asset Care
  • Ensure compliance with Energy Drive’s asset care strategies, standards and maintenance philosophies across all operating regions.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, task lists and corrective maintenance workflows in the CMMS.
  • Monitor asset performance and maintenance history to identify trends and recommend actions derived from insights obtained.
  • Use condition monitoring, alert data and maintenance history to identify opportunities to improve asset reliability, availability and lifecycle performance.
Planning & Site Execution
  • Translate maintenance requirements into a 4-week rolling maintenance plan in MaintainX, balancing resource availability, asset criticality, client priorities and operational constraints.
  • Coordinate and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across client sites to minimise unplanned downtime and operational disruption.
  • Manage the response to client breakdown escalations in line with agreed response levels (L1, L2 and L3) and ensure timely restoration and feedback to clients.
  • Ensure findings, defects and non-conformances from completed work orders are accurately captured, routed through the correct workflows and closed out.
  • Track corrective actions to completion and review their effectiveness.
CMMS & Data Management
  • Ensure asset master data, work order records and asset history in MaintainX are accurate, complete and up to date.
  • Audit work order quality and ensure work orders are completed by technicians and closed out by planners in line with defined processes.
  • Ensure all spares and materials are recorded in MaintainX with physical locations matching reality and manage spares requirements with Procurement and suppliers.
  • Prepare monthly asset performance reports and KPIs (e.g. availability, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance and SLA compliance) for the Group Asset Care Manager.
Contractor Management & SLA Supervision
  • Manage the day-to-day performance of maintenance contractors and specialist service providers (e.g. HVAC and fire systems) across SSA, EU and NA in accordance with contractual obligations and SLAs.
  • Conduct regular SLA performance reviews, site inspections and service quality assessments.
  • Identify contractor performance deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented and monitored, escalating unresolved issues to the Group Asset Care Manager.
  • Verify contractor work and invoices against scope, quality and delivery requirements to ensure cost control and value for money.
QA, RCA & RCM
  • Conduct technical site inspections, compliance audits and planned task observations to verify workmanship and adherence to approved procedures and standards.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and breakdown investigations following significant or recurring failures and ensure sustainable corrective and preventive actions are implemented and verified.
  • Facilitate and participate in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) exercises to define maintenance strategies, task lists, inspection requirements and work scopes.
  • Analyse failure data and performance trends to identify recurring failure patterns and emerging reliability risks.
  • Convert reliability insights into practical changes to maintenance strategies, task frequencies and work scopes.
  • Drive defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR BUSINESS RESULTS
  • Asset Availability & Reliability: Assets meet availability and reliability targets, with reduced unplanned downtime and repeat failures.
  • Planning & Execution: High PM and schedule compliance, with timely response to client escalations.
  • Contractor Performance: SLA compliance is monitored, enforced and reported in all regions.
  • Data Integrity: Accurate, complete and trusted asset, work order and spares data in MaintainX.
  • Process Efficiency: Measurable reduction in manual effort through effective use of digital tools.
