Overview

• Monitor, maintain, and repair equipment and machinery adhering to GMP and safety requirements.
• Plan and implement preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure service equipment operates at optimal efficiency to meet production targets.
• Apply process engineering techniques to optimize production equipment and processes.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical resource and facilitate process implementation.
• Identify gaps in policies and suggest improvements.
• Train staff on SOPs and maintenance procedures.
• Plan and perform maintenance tasks based on production needs.
• Review and update maintenance schedules.
• Perform repairs and troubleshoot machine breakdowns.
• Conduct root cause analysis to minimize machine downtime.
• Maintain workshop and tools.
• Ensure calibration and safety of machinery.
• Report equipment status and deviations.
• Assist with change-overs and asset management.
• Keep accurate records and reports.

Skills and Experience:

• Trade Tested Mechanical and/or Electrical Artisan with 2-4 years post-apprenticeship experience.
• Pharmaceutical Technician Certificate is an advantage.
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Physical ability to handle heavy equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
